Digi-Thane is an integrated digital program to enable residents of Thane city to access and receive all relevant and personalized services and information related to Thane city and Thane Municipal Corporation through a smart card cum identity card, mobile app & web portal.

Thane Smart City is in a process to transform all their Civic Services by adopting state-of-the-art Digital Technology to enable City Administration to co-ordinate, operate and manage all the services effectively from one location. To achieve this, based on the given guidelines by Central Government, an Integrated City Data Center & Command and Control Room Facility, based on the Information communication technology have been built.

Thane Municipal Corporation is in process of implementing 100% Smart Metering for the entire Thane City. The objective of metering is conserving the water resource.

In any city mobility is a key concern; be it going to school, college, office or for any other purpose citizens generally rely on the public transport system to travel within the city. To enhance citizen’s travel experience and provide user-friendly transport services, implementation of IntelligentTransport System (ITS) becomes paramount. TSCL have taken up this transformational initiative which would lead to efficient time saving, reduced traffic congestion and consecutively bringing down the carbon footprints in its wake. It would enrich users with prior information about traffic congestion, real-time running information, seat availability etc. for the TMT buses reducing their travel time and enhancing their safety and comfort.

Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) realized that citizens spend a lot of time in availing services that may require multiple visits to TMC offices and hence may not bring a high level of satisfaction

The project is about free Wi-Fi internet services for citizens (with min guaranteed 800 kbps) within the thane city, along with Design, Operation & Maintenance of the above setup (including hardware, software, manpower and other required expenditure) for a period of 10 years. The vendor would also provide 400 CCTV cameras under the PPP agreement along with connectivity infrastructure for a minimum of 1600 cameras.
